Thank you looking for truth:

I don’t beat myself up for being White. I was born that way. But I do realize that even though I grew up in extreme poverty, I experienced many, many benefits from being White. And these benefits only grew larger as I grew older and got an education. So I get why some Black people don’t trust Whites. In fact, I wonder if — on the whole — Black Americans trust us too much. We are great at saying we want equality and justice but not so great at standing up for those who feel the daily brunt of racism. I do agree, though, that interracial contact benefits both ethnic minorities and ethnic majorities. If we are to reduce racism we ALL need to get to know each other better.
