Thanks for reading, Paul. In a sense, I think you are right. There are many forms of inequality, and racism fits under that very large umbrella (which includes, ageism, anti-immigrant bias, gender bias, bias againts short people, heterosexism, etc.). There is also social inequality versus income inequality. However, there are a lot of data that show that racism is more pervasive and enduring than mere classism. As I have argued elsewhere, the myth of racial essentialism makes racism a deeper and more enduring problem than classism. People can sometimes hide classism by dressing nicely. But gender bias and racism are much harder to escape.
Another sense in which I hope you are right is that I believe that experiencing any kind of injustice can make people understand (to at least some degree) any kind of injustice.
